What is Tanečno?
We have been organising Tanečno since 2017, when the first year of the Orava dance and movement festival took place in Námestovo. Since then, we have been bringing you workshops and performances by professional dancers of various styles every year, focusing on innovative dance forms for all ages. The ambition of the festival is to bring dance to people in all its forms, to support independent art forms, to connect different dance communities and thus create a unique tradition of celebrating world dance in the Orava region.
During the 7 years of the festival, countless people put their hand to the work, which we cannot name, but without any of them, the festival would not have grown into such a format. However, we present you the closest organizational team.

Who we are?
A group of friends, dancers, artists and especially enthusiasts from the field of community organization. We founded our association on the principle of bringing world culture to a region that is close to us (and where most of the team comes from).
As festival organizers, we are also part of many artistic and cultural communities, groups, projects and organizations. We try to materialize all our experiences and ideas through the festival, as we believe that dance as an artistic genre deserves much more space across the entire cultural sphere – from enthusiasts to professionals, from more
popular forms to alternative experiences, from traditions to innovations, from movement to to dance. It is part of our daily reality without us knowing it. It is freedom of movement
