CAN I APPLY FOR A WORKSHOP EVEN IF I HAVE NEVER DANCED BEFORE?
Of course! Dance workshops are intended for the general public and therefore also for the complete beginner. All you have to do is choose a workshop according to your own level and difficulty. Levels and recommendations for who the specific classes are can be found in the descriptions of the workshops. P.S. definitely don’t miss yoga or pilates workshops, you only need flexible pants 🙂
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN ALL DANCE WORKSHOPS?
Yes, it is possible to buy a ticket for ALL dance workshops. However, it is important to think about your body and limits. After each workshop, you should set aside time to relax and follow a proper drinking regime! Our lecturers are trying to draw as much experience as possible into the workshops and this can simply be exhausting.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP?
Quite simply. Choose your workshop (s), click on the picture, send us your e-mail and we will inform you about the rest in time! If you can’t attend, you need to sign out or exchange some workshops – no problem. Just contact us 🙂
CAN WORKSHOPS AND PERFORMANCE TICKETS BE PURCHASED DIRECTLY IN THE PLACE?
Of course they will. However, you should have in mind that some workshops may have limited capacity and therefore it is better to book a place online. This way it won’t happen that you lose your spot 🙂
WILL I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO AT THE FESTIVAL IF I DO NOT DANCE ?
Great question 🙂 Dance is not just about work in the gym and guided workshops. Every year we enrich the program for spectators (non-dancing types of people) as much as possible. For example, be sure not to miss an evening performance at the culture house or a program in an amphitheater. Every year, important names from the dance world (from folklore through hip hop to contemporary dance) visit Tanečno, and it is really worth seeing.
WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL HAPPENING ? HOW TO GET THERE ? WHERE TO SLEEP ?
The festival takes place primarily in the town of Námestovo (except for one dance workshop) which is located in the north of Slovakia. Getting to us is no problem. Whether you go by car or bus, you have nowhere to get lost. Námestovo is a district town and apart from our (excellent) festival, you will definitely not be bored here. In the city, it is possible to stay in several smaller hotels or hostels in the area. In addition to our festival, you have the opportunity to experience the Orava region to the fullest. Swim in the Orava dam, take a boat to the island, go horseback riding on the ranch and much more. It is no coincidence that Tanečno is organized right here, we chose the location out of pure love for this place!
