Creative movement and canistherapy for children with disabilities

Dance and movement are for everyone!

This year, we have once again prepared a special workshop for children with disabilities, led by dance-movement therapist Adriana Hnitková and the canine-assisted therapy team Marián Baláž with his dog Toby.

The workshop will be divided into two parts. The first part will present group work with children through art-based therapies – dance-movement therapy and art therapy. The second part will feature demonstrations of educational and movement-based canine-assisted therapy, with the direct participation of the dog in the individual activities.

All activities are designed in a playful way, focusing on children’s physical development, self-awareness, communication, self-confidence, social skills and relationships, emotional expression, and support for self-realization and creativity.

The workshop is intended for children aged 5 and above with special educational needs, such as learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, autism, speech and language impairments, intellectual, physical, and sensory disabilities, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, severe forms of intellectual disability, and other developmental disorders.
