The 10th edition of the Tanečno Multi-genre Festival of Dance and Movement will take place from 12–16 August 2026.

To celebrate this milestone, the festival will welcome one of the most influential contemporary dance artists of our time – David Zambrano.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided at the newly renovated Educo Student Residence, located in the Slanická Osada area.

Guests will stay in double or triple rooms with a shared bathroom. Each accommodation unit consists of two rooms, accommodating up to five people in total.

​David Zambrano

David Zambrano has dedicated more than 40 years of his life to dance. An internationally acclaimed Venezuelan dancer, choreographer, performer, and teacher, he has worked with thousands of dancers and performed on hundreds of stages around the world.

His teaching has profoundly influenced entire generations of dancers and choreographers. Zambrano is renowned for his intuitive, free, and deeply physical approach to dance, combining technical precision with personal expression, cultural diversity, and the joy of movement.

His movement practice Flying Low and the group composition method Passing Through have had a significant impact on the development of contemporary dance worldwide.

We could write much more about David Zambrano. However, anyone passionate about dance should not miss the opportunity to experience both him and his work in person. In recent years, he has devoted himself primarily to his creative space, Tictac Art Centre in Brussels, and now teaches outside the centre only on rare occasions.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet him in a small town in the north of Slovakia, which for a few days will become a vibrant centre of the international dance community.
