Independent theatre company Odivo & Divadlo Štúdio tanca

Theatrical Roadtrip / Dance Lovetrip tells the intimate story of spouses and dancers Lívia MM Balážová and Zebastián Méndez Marín. Through sharing their personal experiences, they open up themes of migration, identity, and the search for a place to call home.

Lívia is from Slovakia, while Zebastián comes from Costa Rica. Their paths first crossed in Belgium, where they were both members of the internationally renowned company Ultima Vez, touring extensively around the world. Their journey later took them to Costa Rica and eventually back to Slovakia, where they now live.

What does it mean to constantly adapt to a new country, language, and culture while staying true to who you are? How do you keep from losing yourself along the way?
