The performance Rebeka explores themes of difference, uniqueness, disadvantage and advantage brought into a family and society by a child whose development follows a non-standard path. It traces the trajectories and intersections of the stories of a child with special needs, her parents and a therapist.
The performance creates space for questions: How does the intimate become public? Who is the observer? What are our special needs?
The creative team consists of Anna Sedlačková, Martin Hodoň, Rebeka, Katarína and Tibor Trulik, Alica Mikócziová and Daniel Raček.

The performance Rebeka was created in the production of Somasféra OZ by independent artists working across theatre, contemporary dance, somatic approaches to movement and visual art.
ANNA SEDLAČKOVÁ is a Slovak dancer, performer and educator. She taught at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and currently works as an independent artist. She is one of the pioneers of contemporary dance in Slovakia, influenced primarily by American postmodern dance, and is a teacher of the somatic approach BMC®.
MARTIN HODOŇ graduated in Theatre Studies from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and later continued his studies in Directing and Dramaturgy at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. His work explores the borderlands between dance, movement and theatre. As an author, director and dramaturge, he has contributed to the dance performances Appendix, Matter, Rebeka and A stromy sú nehybné.
TIBOR TRULIK was a long-standing dancer with Divadlo Štúdio tanca in Banská Bystrica from 2004 to 2024, where he contributed to approximately 46 dance works as both a performer and choreographer. In 2014, he received the Literary Fund Award for his choreography Babylonská veža, and in 2009, he received the Dance Personality of the Season Award in the contemporary dance category (TAOS 2009).
KATARÍNA TRULIKOVÁ graduated from the Faculty of Education at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and worked as an educator. Her passion for dance led her to work with children and to study alternative educational and somatic approaches to learning and working with disadvantaged groups.
